The Ski Classics Challengers event, Arctic Alta Skimaraton, is a beautiful long-distance skiing race in skating technique with start and finish close to the city center of Alta, Norway, and runs through a long loop around Alta.

The race crosses the beautiful Alta river and other scenic places, with mostly light terrain but one large climb up the Detsika-hill and through a cabin village at the top.

There are 4 checkpoints with nutrition and the possibility to have a pre-race dinner in the city center of Alta the evening before the event.
